Health and Wellness
Cynthia was born and raised in Southern California, and she received her B.A. in Medical Anthropology from California State University San Marcos. During her undergraduate degree, she had the opportunity to work with many local indigenous communities in San Diego, as well as in Ecuador while studying abroad. Cynthia cultivated a passion for learning about human culture, and spreading that knowledge to others. The last few years of her studies, she was given the opportunity to participate in the annual CSUSM Town Hall, which focused on human trafficking. She grew curious to learn about the stories of those who undergo trauma or violence; how it affects a person inside and out. Cynthia will be specializing her studies in Health and Wellness, in hopes of learning more about this topic.
Aside from her studies, Cynthia enjoys good food (vegan please!), strong coffee, and yoga. She loves being outdoors, and is always up for a good, stimulating conversation.
