Andrew Bagwell hails from the state of Arkansas, and spent his youth in the cities and forests of this The Natural State. For most of his life he has been what is known as an ‘armchair academic,’ meaning one with a great amount of literary knowledge of the world but little practical experience. The world can well be enough displayed in this form however, at least enough to inspire him to a life in the aid and study of people. As such his research focus is in International Development, and he will be also working towards the Political Economy Certificate. The work of his advisor, Jeffrey Snodgrass, which is physically in India and metaphysically in cultural happiness, may prove to mesh well with Andrew’s burgeoning interests. He is beginning his program this August.
