B.A. in Anthropology, Colorado State University
Plans After Graduation
I am going to try to find a job working as a field tech somewhere and figure out where I want to work. I hope that later, after I have had a break from school and gotten some experience, I can come back and get a Master’s degree once I find out where I want to learn the most about.
Note to Current Students
During the archaeological field school in 2015, we surveyed up near Del Norte and had been hiking up a mountain and came upon a grassy prairie. We decided to stop and search the area for artifacts and got into our transects with our colored market flags. Not fifteen minutes in, I stumbled across a tool as big as my hand. Dr. Mark Mitchell told me that it was likely a scraper and that we should investigate further to see if their was a larger site in the area. I just remember how exciting it was to see this tool that someone used hundreds or even a thousand years ago, and how I was maybe the first person in all that time to touch it.
