Native American culture, community development, applied methods, gender, and economic development
Andrea is an applied cultural anthropologist. Her areas of interest include Native American culture, community development, applied methods, gender, and economic development. Andrea works collaboratively with Pine Ridge and Cheyenne River Indian Reservation based organizations to build communities. She has specific interests in participatory monitoring and evaluation as well as providing research services to these organizations.
Andrea also co-owns her own anthropological consulting business, Sweet Grass Consulting, LLC, which allows her to work closely with organizations that support development and research. Her experience at CSU directly led to her owning her own business and she is grateful for the experience.
