Stefanie Berganini has lived in Colorado since third grade, with the exception of a recent 4-year excursion to the Pacific Northwest. She attended Colorado State University as an undergrad studying psychology and graphic design nearly a decade ago, and after deciding on a career change has returned for graduate study in the department of anthropology. Stefanie’s early childhood as an Army brat was spent living in and traveling around Europe, which planted early seeds of curiosity about the world and its cultures. Stefanie has a strong personal interest in Scandinavia (especially Iceland), but she's not sure where her thesis work may take her. She currently serves as a research assistant to her advisor, Dr. Browne, as well as Editorial Assistant of the SEA journal Economic Anthropology.
Outside the classroom, Stefanie is a textile hobbyist and enjoys sewing, knitting, weaving, and other fibery pursuits. She likes to bike, hike, and camp, and recently became a certified Wilderness First Responder (skills she hopes she’ll never have to use).
