Nur Erbil was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Ankara University in 2012. During her undergraduate education she had field experience excavating in Üçağızlı cave (an Upper Paleolithic cave site) located in Hatay province of Turkey. For her undergraduate thesis, she studied skeletal changes as a result of adaptation to bipedalism. Currently, she continues her graduate study in dental anthropology with Dr. Mica Glantz as her CSU advisor.
