Established in May 2008, this scholarship was funded with gifts from private donors and alumni, along with the Anthropology Department. The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to benefit graduate students who are enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and majoring in a field of study within the Anthropology Department. This generous gift will help graduate students to excel and refine their skills in their area of study and to continue towards progressive research and creativity.
The Colorado State University Scholarship Application process shall be used. A committee appointed by the Anthropology Department Chair shall select the recipient(s).
Established in April 2011, this scholarship was created to celebrate the life of Esther Pressel, a professor of Anthropology at Colorado State University. This scholarship will recognize cultural anthropology students who demonstrate the inquisitive, active and exploratory nature of learning that she herself embodied. Esther Pressel taught at CSU from 1968 to 2003.

Student Research Scholarship Application
Established in May 2013 with funds from a private donor and the Department of Anthropology, this award was created to support undergraduate/graduate Anthropology in their field schools endeavors. Funds shall be used to cover necessary expenses associated with field school costs; travel, living, transportation, supplies, etc. Awards are made on a competitive basis based on the following:
