Faculty Collaboration

During her stay, she met with local doctors from the medical school to find out more about what kinds of medical initiatives they are working on as well as the scope of their rural health projects.

She also met with a member of the nursing school faculty who runs a small clinic, San Jose Tecoh. The clinic is situated in an area of Meridia that struggles with extreme poverty. It provides resources and essential services to the marginalized community.

Dr. Magennis is pursuing a joint research project in order to be able to expand on the services that are available to the community.
