Vectra Bank CEO, three others named Nature Conservancy trustees

Longtime Vectra Bank CEO Bruce Alexander is one of four new trustees of The Nature Conservancy in Colorado.

The nonprofit conservation group said Kathleen Galvin, who directs a research program in the School of Global Environmental Sustainability at Colorado State University, Isotonish Holding CEO Annette Quintana and Colorado Health Foundation senior program officer Suzanne White also were elected to the board of trustees.

Alexander, a fifth-generation Coloradan, has led Vectra Bank in Colorado since 2000. He also has held leadership positions at the Denver Urban Renewal Authority and the Downtown Denver Partnership. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Galvin, a professor in CSU’s Department of Anthropology, is a contributor to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Price with former Vice President Al Gore. She did her undergraduate work at CSU and earned a Ph.D. from the State University of New York-Binghampton.

Quintana, also a native Coloradan, has been named one of Colorado’s most powerful women by the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and was the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s entrepreneur of the year. Her family-owned information technology company helps customers reduce expenses and improve operations. She earned a degree in chemical engineering at CSU.

White, who earned her bachelor’s degree at Colorado College and a master’s at Harvard University, has more than 30 years of experience health care management, policy and philanthropy. At the Colorado Health Foundation, she raises funds for critical health-care issues in the state.
